• AHEPA MARITIME ST NICHOLAS HJ 45

A grand celebration took place, in the presence of the Mayor of Nafplio, Mr. Dimitris Kostouros.

In the context of its multidimensional social action, the AHEPA Maritime Chapter HJ-45 St' Nicholas, recently performed an act of utmost importance by offering a modern playground for the disabled in the "Tassos Papadopoulos" square in the "Kourti" area of the Municipality of Nafplio. which was manufactured according to the strict safety requirements of ELOT standards.
With the completion of the construction of the playground, a grand opening was held, in the presence of the Mayor of Nafplio, Mr. Dimitris Kostouros, various politicians and local officials, as well as other renowned professionals from the field of shipping, technology and the press.
The President of the Chapter, Mr. Dimitrios Matthaiou, emphasized that "The greatest social and national goal of all citizens must be the continuous and selfless contribution to the testing society, especially when we refer to children who face difficulties every day, we must create for them a happy and carefree world. Play is equally important for children's development and especially when combined with outdoor activities, it contributes significantly to their healthy development and socialization. We are happy to be able to offer the children of the Municipality of Nafplion the opportunity to play and have fun safely in a brand new playground for the disabled".
At the end of the opening ceremony, an official lunch followed, offered by the Mayor, as a sign of gratitude towards the work offered by the Maritime Chapter, in Nafplio, the capital of the Greek revolution of the glorious 1821, in the city of myth and history, in which they operated heroes and fighters, in the city where the Greek state was founded.
FYI, the disabled playground is the result of the Maritime Chapter's very successful charity Christmas Gala 2022 which raised the necessary funds for its completion.
In this struggle, the shipping arm of AHERA and its existing three hundred and sixty (360) fervent members, who embrace the values of giving and humanitarianism and promote solidarity, charity and cooperation, stand wholeheartedly and unanimously as child protection helpers with special needs.
At this point, we would once again like to congratulate and thank our sponsors, because with their generous contribution, they contributed the most, both to the success of the Gala, and to the completion of the construction of the disabled playground in Nafplion.
The Maritime Chapter proved once again that quality and excellence is achieved through teamwork and hard work.
As members of a great global organization, we will remain committed to fostering solidarity, love, ethics, cooperation, support, loyalty, charity and respect.
Virtues which are insurmountable symbols between brothers and our common path with a unique orientation to our Offer and Flagship, social, family and individual excellence.
